St. Mary’s welcomes Fr. Deogratias Rutaisire, AJ from Uganda,  Fr. Richard O’nyamwaro, AJ, from Kenya, and Fr. Paul Velasco of the Archdiocese of San Fernando in Pampanga in the Philippines. The trio will be residents at SMOL for at least a year, God willing, while they obtain their M.A. degrees from Loyola University’s Institute of Pastoral Studies.
Many thanks to Fr. Frederick Otieno for referring these three visiting priests to our parish.
We are truly blessed to have so many priests available to our parish.

Saturday, September 23 is getting closer!!  That’s the date of this year's annual fund-raiser. We’re planning an evening at Biagio’s with delicious food and drink (plus an open cash bar), followed by dancing to live music.

The principle reason for the Fall Dinner/Dance is to pay for heating gas for our five buildings. We need the support of every family and individual in this parish. More details will follow. In the meantime, please plan to be with us.

We need your help.  If you can't make it to the dinner, please buy some raffle tickets before/after any of the Sunday masses - or send in your payment for those tickets that were recently mailed to all registered parishioners.

Are you interested in investigating the claims of the Roman Catholic Church? Do you know someone who is interested in learning more about the Faith? Do you know an adult who is interested in receiving Holy Communion?

This Fall, a group of people will be meeting and studying the most important questions that human beings can ask: Why am I here? What happens when a person dies? How can I be truly happy? How can I forgive? How can I be forgiven?

The adult R.C.I.A begins September 16th and meets every Sunday at 9:30a.m. in the rectory.
For more information, call Sr. Emelita at (773) 281 0301.

Are you registered as a St. Mary of the Lake parishioner?  If you live in our area and attend Mass in our church, why don't you take a few moments to register with us?

If you're already registered but have married, had a child, or moved since you registered you can update your registration info online as well.

Do you shop online?  Please help us!

Click the image to go to schoolpop.com to register so that when you shop at participating merchants - either by going through the schoolpop site or by letting schoolpop install a small program on your computer that automatically detects participating merchant sites, the parish will earn commissions (usually 2.5%-4.5% of the sale) on everything you purchase - at no cost to you.
